ST. FRANCISVILLE, LA - After five days on the run, a convicted killer that escaped from the Louisiana State Penitentiary was caught Monday morning and taken back into custody.

An Angola chase team has captured escaped inmate Henry Smith. Henry Smith West Feliciana Parish Sheriff J. Austin Daniel said a chase team member spotted Smith Monday morning crossing a parish road northeast of the prison.
